Find out how this will affect your firm.
As of January 2018, Teranet will be available on a web-based platform. If your firm is currently using Teraview, you will need to do the following:
1) Obtain RSA tokens for all the people that currently use Teraview at your firm.
You can register for your tokens on the following website: http://www.teraview.ca/en/getting-started-tasks-request-and-register-your-rsa-token/
The tokens can be a hard copy (i.e. a physical device) or a soft copy (i.e. an app on your smartphone). Each person can choose the type of token that they want as they both work the same way, they just exist in different formats
2) Register your RSA token after Receiving it
You can register your token at the same site listed above: http://www.teraview.ca/en/getting-started-tasks-request-and-register-your-rsa-token/
Each token will need to be registered, whether hard or soft.
3) Take the Teranet Training Course
It is a good idea to learn about Teranet’s new format and how it will work with your environment. The following link allows you to access Teranet’s training course: http://www.teraview.ca/en/teraview-training-environment/
Each user should complete the above steps. There is not much impact on IT as a result of this change. Mainly, the user of the software will need to acclimatize themselves to Teranet’s new Web-based platform.
Features of Teranet Web
As a result of moving to the web, Teranet will have the following features:
- Access Teraview on the Web
- Manage your accounts and users
- Search/View Properties and Instruments
- Register Instruments
If you are currently using Teraview in your firm, don’t wait too long to switch over to their web-based system as the company will shift its focus to the web by January 2018.
Moving to the web will allow you to continue to access Teraview as well as the ability to access all of the upgrades and new features that the software will release.
